About the Role
Zenith owns, operates, and maintains remote power stations, and we are looking to expand our existing maintenance team with suitably qualified mechanical tradespersons to work on various mine sites in WA and NT in the role of Field Service Technician.
This HD Mechanic / Field Service / Engine Technician works on equipment from OEMs such as Wartsila, Jenbacher, MTU, and Cummins. We would like to hear from you if you have experience with any of these OEMs!
Roster: 2:2 family friendly
Point of Hire: Perth WA
Working within a small team and servicing remote sites, this position is responsible for executing planned and unplanned mechanical maintenance tasks on the equipment within Zenith’s power stations. The role ensures maintenance tasks are carried out to the highest quality standards to ensure equipment reliability. Primary responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Execute planned and unscheduled maintenance activities on power generation equipment and associated ancillary equipment.
- Maintain and update service records.
- Exhibit the highest commitment to Zenith’s HSE and environmental policies.
- Take an active role in always ensuring an incident free workplace.
- Act as a relief Power Station operator as and when required.
About You
As the HD Mechanic, you will have the following experience, knowledge, and skills to bring to the role.
Experience
- 2 years’ post trade experience, desirably field service experience
- Experience in Engine rebuilds, diagnosis and troubleshooting (essential)
- Remote site experience (FIFO, highly desirable)
- Power generation on stationary engine system experience (essential)
- Fuel system overhaul experience (desirable)
- Gas engine and gas systems experience (essential)
Qualifications & Clearances
- Mechanical trade qualifications
- Current C class driver's license
- Ability to pass a Pre-Employment Medical and National Police Clearance
- Right to work in Australia
- High-Risk Work License that may include Dogman, Rigging, Working at Heights, and Confined Space (desirable)
- Advanced First Aid (desirable)
Skills/Ability
- Report writing skills.
- Computer literacy
- Communication skills including ability to speak and manage clients professionally.
- Competent in the use of Pronto CMMS or similar (desirable)
