Relief Operator Maintainer – Electrical

FIFO | 2 Weeks On / 2 Weeks Off | Multiple Zenith Energy Sites

Zenith Energy is seeking an experienced Relief Operator Maintainer – Electrical to provide operational and maintenance support across our power generation sites. This is a dynamic FIFO role ideal for a qualified electrician who enjoys variety, problem-solving and working in remote environments.

About the Role

Reporting to the Area Manager, you will provide relief coverage for Electrical Operators across multiple power station sites, ensuring safe, efficient and reliable operations. You will be responsible for both operational and maintenance activities, troubleshooting plant and equipment issues, supporting site mobilisations, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain power generation equipment and associated auxiliary systems
  • Perform routine, preventative and breakdown maintenance
  • Conduct fault finding, diagnostics and troubleshooting activities
  • Support new site mobilisations and operational readiness activities
  • Undertake control system testing and commissioning support
  • Complete reporting, timesheets, stock control and parts ordering
  • Maintain high housekeeping and plant presentation standards
  • Participate actively in site safety programs and compliance requirements
  • Assist with mechanical maintenance tasks where required
  • Provide after-hours response to site faults and breakdowns while on roster
  • Work collaboratively with clients, contractors and internal stakeholders to achieve operational objectives

About You

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

Essential Requirements

  • Valid WA Electrical Licence
  • Current Driver's Licence
  • Minimum 2 years' post-trade electrical experience
  • Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting skills
  • Heavy industry experience
  • Ability to work independently in remote environments
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Competent computer skills including Microsoft Office applications
  • Commitment to workplace health, safety and environmental standards

Highly Regarded

  • Power generation experience on stationary engine systems
  • Gas engine and gas systems experience
  • Remote site operational experience
  • Experience with fuel systems and reciprocating engine repairs
  • CMMS experience (Pronto or similar)
  • High Risk Work Licences (Forklift, Rigging, Dogging, Overhead Crane)
  • Working at Heights, Confined Space, LV Rescue and Advanced First Aid qualifications
