Job Description

About the Role

Zenith Energy is looking for a Part-time Payroll Officer to assist with delivering accurate and timely payroll services to all Zenith employees. Reporting to the Shared Services Manager, and working with the full-time Payroll Officer you’ll play a key role in maintaining smooth payroll operations

Key Responsibilities

  • Assisting with processing fortnightly and ad hoc payments accurately and on time.
  • Enter data for timesheets, including timely reconciling and verifying large volumes of timesheets for site-based employees
  • Respond promptly to payroll inquiries from employees and managers.
  • Accurately maintain payroll data and records in the Pronto system (Payroll module). Ensure compliance with PAYG, superannuation, industrial awards, and the Fair Work Act obligations.


The position is part-time, 0.6 FTE, with workdays from Monday to Wednesday.

About You

  • Experience managing the complete payroll process for 200-plus award-based FIFO workforce
  • Highly developed communication skills, with strong customer service, enabling effective interaction at all organizational levels.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
  • Solid understanding of Modern Awards, Fair Work legislation, and payroll taxation requirements.
  • Strong organisational skills to meet deadlines efficiently.
  • Proficient data entry skills.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Qualification in accounting or payroll is preferred.
  • Experience using the Pronto payroll module is desirable.
