Job Description

What you'll be doing

Working within a small team, the Power Station Operator Maintainer reports to the Area Manager. This position executes planned and unplanned maintenance tasks on the equipment within Zenith Power Stations. The role ensures that maintenance tasks are carried out to the highest quality standards, ensuring equipment reliability. 

  • Operate and monitor power generation equipment to ensure optimal performance
  • Carry out scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on mechanical systems and components
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose faults and implement corrective actions
  • Adhere to all safety procedures and environmental regulations
  • Maintain detailed records and documentation of equipment performance and maintenance activities
  • Collaborate with the wider operations team to continuously improve efficiency and reliability
  • Engage in "On Call" activities when scheduled on-site, ensuring a prompt response to any issues that arise after hours.

What we're looking for

  • Relevant trade qualification in Mechanical or Electrical discipline
  • Substantial experience as a power station operator or maintainer
  • Strong working knowledge of power generation equipment, including turbines, generators, and ancillary systems
  • Proficient in fault-finding, maintenance planning, and the execution of preventative and corrective maintenance
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to work independently
  • Commitment to workplace health and safety and a demonstrated track record of safe work practices
