Zenith Energy is seeking a highly motivated Contract Engineer to join our Commercial, Contracts, and Procurement team. This entry-level position is ideal for candidates starting their careers and looking for an opportunity to develop their skills.
As a Contracts Engineer, you will provide analytical, engineering, and commercial support. Your primary responsibilities will include ensuring operational and contractual compliance to enhance performance and minimise commercial risks.
This role is based at our Head Office in Rivervale, Western Australia, working standard office hours.
What You Will Do
- Assist in reviewing and evaluating Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs), commercial and insurance provisions.
- Conduct quantitative analyses to ensure compliance with PPAs and other contractual obligations.
- Collaborate with engineering, operations, and commercial teams as directed to identify risks, data gaps, and opportunities for improvement within contract frameworks.
- Participate in the ongoing review and administration of contract terms, including but not limited to support for annual price reviews, heat rate guarantees, yield guarantees, and renewable energy guarantee calculations
- Assist in preparing technical and commercial reports , including Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) reporting, emissions reporting, and Large Scale Generation (LGC) certificates.
- Help track and document the performance of renewable and thermal assets to ensure alignment with contractual requirements.
What We Need from You
Experience
- Exposure to energy, mining, or infrastructure industries
- Exposure to, and understanding of contract administration principles
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- High level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficient in written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven capability to collaborate effectively across functions.
Qualifications
- Electrical qualification (Electrical Engineering bachelor’s degree or Electrical Licence), or a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering preferred.
